Ryann has been a swimmer for the past 5 years. This year she had decided that she no longer wanted to swim but wanted to try other sports. She couldn't quite figure out what sports she wanted to try most, so she narrowed it down to basketball and soccer. Well Soccer was the next season to have spots opening up for new players so we agreed that she would try soccer.
Ryann LOVES it. She is playing on the Blue Flames and when wearing their yellow uniforms the Golden Flames. She likes playing "defender"...not so much running involved.
She plays on a team of girls who have all played for a few years and fits in for the most part. She is still a bit gun shy of the ball and fears the pain that is associated with being hit in the face.
Ryann would love to do a soccer camp this summer and if she keeps going on about it we will certainly look into it for her. At least this summer it could potentially be warmer?
