Mr. & Mrs. Cody Rydeen-Robertson

It's official. Cody and Kayela, his girlfriend of 2 years, got married on Monday June 23rd.

It was a very small gathering which consisted of His Dad, myself, his Mom Missy, his step father Bobby, sisters Taylor, Ryann, Kira, Grandmother Sherry, Grandparents Rod & Mary, Kayela's parents and grandmother.

The ceremony took place at the Spokane Court House at 5 p.m. They were married by Judge Cooney Jr.*
You can watch their wedding below:

Cody leaves for Iraq in August. The kids plan on big production of a wedding (in comparison to the first one) when he returns in October 2009. I believe that Kayela is busy with those preparations as we speak.

Kayela is a beautiful and bright young lady. She is currently paying her way through college, and I am very happy to report that I honestly believe that Kayela will keep Cody in check (and vice versa). I do wish the newlyweds much success and a long and happy life together. Although we all know first hand how trying marriage can be, we also know how rewarding and fulfilling it is as well.

Mike and mom Sherry (Mike was amusing me I believe)

The kids are currently living with Cody's Mom and step father until Cody leaves. I am pretty sure that when he returns from duty that they will be setting up house here in Spokane. Of course this is all subject to change but for right now that sounds like the plan.

They honeymooned in Disneyland.

Taylor posing (had to take the shot):

With regards to Cody's deployment to Iraq, we are positive that he will return a full blown man. We know in our heart of hearts that while he will be working hard and seeing things we cannot even begin to imagine that he will keep all of us close to his heart and mind. We love and will miss him terribly. Please keep Kayela in your prayers as well, as it could not be easy to say goodbye to your new husband for war. I will do my best to keep you all up to date on Cody.

Oh goodness. It seems just last week that Missy brought Cody to Didier's for me to see. He was bald, I believe, and riding in an infant carrier, so I suppose it simply couldn't have been last week. But how is this possible? HOW? My wish for Cody and Kayela is that they will always love and care about each other as much as they did on their wedding day. Congratulations!
