Thanks so much for your kind words on my blog this morning. Prior to starting this job with the kids, I worked as an adult oncology nurse (12 years ago) so I am pretty familiar with what you have just gone through with your dad. I"m so glad to hear that he had great care. One thing that keeps us going as nurses is the hope that somehow we can be a support and a comfort to the families and patients we encounter. I hope the pain of your loss is easing a little each day. Thank you for sharing your journey on your blog and being willing to be 'real' and honest about the struggle.
