I guess I'm not ready for ironman because I don't get it. Is he holding his booties? It looks like the race hasn't started yet maybe? Lkd
Alright-to follow Laura's comment. Here's what I'm thinking. Those things in his hands look like they could be fins-not legal. Maybe they're booties but it's Ironman Florida! Hello? It's HOT there-was he thinking he'd need booties? Even if this wasn't the actual swim start, it's f'd up whether those are fins or booties in his hand. Love it. very funny.

If you enlarge the photo you will be able to very clearly make out some very not legal FINS.
Now I am not sure, but, Julie had some friends down in Florida as spectators and they said that they saw him running over the timing mat with them...could be urban legend?
Oh...ok. I wasn't paying attention to the Florida detail, and I didn't enlarge the photo.Personally I'm with this guy. If I had fins...maybe I'd actually make the swim cutoff.
